Corporate Valuation Advisors was founded with offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1988 when certain individuals including current Managing Directors Larry Knauf, Rich Mills, and Jim Volkman joined together as founding shareholders. Dennis Ingles joined shortly thereafter to oversee the development of the property tax group of CVA which they opened with initial offices in Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Chicago.
Together they saw a clear opportunity to combine their experience and expertise with a significantly improved level of client service and responsiveness. This formula has been the cornerstone of CVA’s success over the years. The best evidence to gauge our level of execution on the success of our formula lies in the long-term relationships and continued service to many of America’s leading corporations, law firms, and private equity firms and the referrals we receive from them and many of the top accounting firms and their auditors.
VALUATION EXPERIENCE
Our enterprise, equity, tangible and intangible asset value opinions have been relied upon to resolve disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the Securities and Exchange Commission. We have also provided expert testimony on valuation matters in state and federal courts and before arbitration bodies. In performing our property tax appeal services, we regularly advance our valuation appeals through property tax appeal boards and state tax commissions.
We have built our reputation by demonstrating our expertise. Our reputation has also been built on our continuing recognition that value impacts tax and financial reporting requirements, that tax and financial reporting requirements are deadline-oriented and that clients have placed their trust and confidence in our firm to not only meet their deadlines but also to provide a work product which will pass the scrutiny of their auditors and other review authorities.
