Business Development
Corporate Valuation Advisors, Inc. (“CVA”) is a full-service valuation and financial advisory firm. Founded in 1988, CVA has over 30 years of experience providing value opinions. CVA also provides property tax consulting services for clients throughout the United States. Property tax consulting services offered by CVA provide clients with a cost-effective, risk-free means of confirming equitable real property tax assessments.
Position
The ideal candidate for this full or part time business development opportunity will be an experienced financial service professional responsible for generating new business, managing property tax appeal processes, and maintaining existing customer relationships specific to the property tax consulting services offered by CVA. Property tax consulting service clients are property owners and lessees, primarily in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and present CVA’s property tax consulting services to property owners and lessees to generate proposal opportunities and secure new business to expand our customer base.
- Maintain contact with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and identify potential cross-selling opportunities.
- Achieve revenue generation targets for new and recurring business as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Experience in financial services, real estate valuation, real estate assessment, property management and/or real estate brokerage highly preferred.
- Successful track record in new business development and/or account management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to be productive while working from an office, traveling or at home.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using Salesforce is a plus.
Compensation
A base salary will be provided commensurate with experience, no limit to potential commission. The position also offers the opportunity to earn bonuses based upon individual performance and overall company performance. Full or part time opportunities are available. Commercial/Industrial Real Estate Appraiser

CVA produces reliable real estate appraisal and consulting reports for a multitude of purposes that are utilized by individuals and organizations across a diverse array of industries both domestic and international. As an independent valuation consulting firm, CVA provides unbiased, well-reasoned, and defensible appraisals in an efficient manner.
Position – Commercial/Industrial Real Estate Appraiser
CVA is looking to further support its growing valuation practice by hiring qualified, self-motivated, energetic individuals who are willing to further their careers in the real estate valuation industry. This position focuses mainly on the commercial and industrial real estate sector.
Primary Responsibilities
- Market research and preparation of valuation models for the appraisal of commercial/industrial real estate throughout the United States.
- Creating quality narrative reports describing the subject of the valuation, methodology employed, assumptions utilized and conclusions of value.
- Communication with senior staff daily and clients as directed.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Certified General Appraiser in one or multiple states.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, or finance. combined engineering and business degree is a plus.
- Highly skilled with use of word and excel.
- Familiarity with CoStar, or other real estate software.
- Designated member of an appraisal society is a plus.
- Willing to travel for short periods.
Compensation
A base salary will be provided based upon experience. The position also offers the opportunity to earn bonuses based upon individual performance and overall company performance.

Valuation Analyst
Corporate Valuation Advisors, Inc. (“CVA”) is looking to expand its business valuation practice.
At CVA, Valuation Analysts work with both small and large companies in various industries. They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. Analysts work on multiple team engagements simultaneously, including several pieces of any particular assignment.
Valuation Analysts provide quality services to clients focused on financial analysis. Strong analytical skills are required to develop quality solutions to meet client requirements. Valuation Analysts work on a variety of assignments, including business enterprise valuations, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, intellectual property valuations and stock valuations. Valuation Analysts also work on comprehensive equity valuations for many purposes such as acquisition transactions, financial reporting, gift and estate tax, litigation and fairness and solvency opinions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Financial modeling for equity valuations, stock/unit valuations, intellectual property valuations, and for financial reporting purposes.
- Research technical, industry, economic, and regulatory information.
- Create narrative reports describing the subject of the valuation, methodology employed, assumptions utilized, and conclusions of value.
- Communication with high-level clients.
- Prepare due diligence questions for clients.
- Analyze financial statements.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist real estate appraisers and business valuation analyst with their engagements.
- Travel to client sites to assist machinery and equipment engagements.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Experience in the accounting or finance industries is a plus. Experience in valuation and appraisal is preferable.
- A member of the American Society of Appraisers or completion of ASA courses is a plus.
- Willing to travel for short periods of time.
- Ability to obtain a passport.
Qualifications
- Excellent analytic foundation with advanced understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies (discounted cash flows, market analysis, etc.).
- Proficient at financial modeling with advanced Excel skills.
Compensation
A base salary will be provided based upon experience. The position also offers the opportunity to earn periodic bonuses based upon individual performance and overall company performance.
