LAWRENCE B. KNAUF, ESQ.

Mr. Knauf serves as Managing Director of Professional Services.  In that capacity, Mr. Knauf  is responsible for the management of all valuation engagements undertaken and serves as the principal author of all solvency and fairness opinions issued by our Company. He is also a principal shareholder of the Company.

Mr. Knauf has lectured before a number of trade and professional associations on a wide variety of legal and valuation topics.  He has addressed chapters of the Tax Executives Institute in Richmond, Boston, Denver and Santa Clara, California. Mr. Knauf has also argued valuation cases in the court system and before the Internal Revenue Service and has appeared before local Boards of Review and State Tax Commissions.

A graduate of Creighton University, Mr. Knauf is a member of the American Bar Association, Wisconsin Bar Association and Milwaukee County Bar Association.  

JAMES VOLKMAN, ASA

Mr. Volkman serves as the Managing Director of Financial Valuation Services.  In that capacity, he is responsible for the performance and management of all financial valuation engagements undertaken by the Company.  He has performed appraisals of the capital stock of a wide array of industries and his appraisals have been relied upon for purposes related to Fairness Opinions, Solvency Opinions, Restructurings and Recapitalization, establishment and continuation of Employee Stock Ownership Plans, Acquisition and Divestitures and Estate Planning.

Mr. Volkman also has considerable experience in the valuation of intangible assets.  His appraisals have included complex patented and non-patented technologies as well as agent contracts with actors, musicians and professional sports figures.  The nature of his work has required that he provide expert testimony on numerous occasions in support of his value conclusions.

Mr. Volkman received a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin and is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers designated in Business Enterprise Valuations.  He is also a principal shareholder of the Company.

RICHARD A. HOSLER, ASA

Serving as Manager of Tangible Property Valuation Services, Mr. Hosler is responsible for the timely and professional performance of all tangible property valuations undertaken by our Company.  With over 26 years in the appraisal profession, he has participated in valuation assignments on both domestic and foreign corporations. His technical valuations have included steel mills and foundries, printing, papermaking and pulp mills, food and dairy processing, machine tool and metal working, coal mining, paint manufacturing, plastic molding plants, gas and oil pipelines and broadcast operations.

In addition to the determination of market values and/or liquidation values for Ad Valorem Tax, Allocation of Purchase Cost, Acquisitions, Divestitures and Financing transactions, Mr. Hosler has also performed economic obsolescence studies and plant capacity analyses.  He has appeared before Boards of Review and has provided expert testimony before the Supreme Court of the State of New York.

Mr. Hosler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and is an accredited Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers.

DENNIS INGLES, CMI

Mr. Ingles serves as the Managing Director of Property Tax Services for Corporate Valuation Advisors, Inc. Serving in this capacity, he is primarily responsible for the performance and management of the activities of our property tax group and co-directs the property tax compliance division with Mr. Knauf. Mr. Ingles is a shareholder of the company.

Mr. Ingles began his career in 1970 with the Union Oil Company. In 1975, Mr. Ingles joined Gould Inc. as a Senior Tax Analyst. In 1977, he was promoted to Manager of Property Taxes. In 1980, he joined Realty Appraisals Company/Strategies as Manager of Property and Sales Taxes. In 1988, Mr. Ingles left Strategies in order to form the Property Tax Group of Corporate Valuation Advisors, Inc.

During his twenty years in the valuation and tax professions, Mr. Ingles has participated in a wide range of property tax engagements. He has served various companies involved in broadcasting, publishing, food processing, transportation equipment, electrical and electronic equipment, textile products and hotels.

Mr. Ingles holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University. He is an accredited member of the Institute of Property Taxation ("CMI").

ODIN A. THORPE, ASA

The valuation of intangible assets is also an area where Mr. Thorpe has had considerable experience. He has not only appraised various items of intellectual property but also customer related, assembled work force, computer software and various other intangible assets.

Mr. Thorpe received both a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration Degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (“ASA”) of the American Society of Appraisers designated in Business Valuation. Mr. Thorpe has also been a member of this organization's Board of Examiners since 1984.
